Hello,
As some of you know I have taken on the role of Manager here at The Grove, I’m very happy to be here and excited about our future together, even Sidney the squirrel is going nuts with excitement!
We have already started making changes – Tuesday night is disco night!! We go bowling, we have a couple of nights at the dogs booked (free of charge for our guests and includes a pie and pea supper and a drink!!) We’ve been to Scarborough for the day too. We are intending to get the ‘den’ tidied up and use that for activities such as pool/snooker, table tennis, arts and crafts and the occasional disco so our guests can boogie and exercise at the same time!!
Just a few other reminders for you. Can we ask that you ensure your family member has their names on all clothing items please, this is to avoid items being mistaken for someone else’s property once they have been laundered.
Check in time is after 3pm, this allows our team to get guest’s rooms ready. Check out time is 11am – this gives our team time to take out the guests who are already here.
Medication – please ensure the medication you entrust us with is in date. We can only accept medication which has a pharmacy prescription label with the intended person’s name on. Also, please only bring enough medication for the guest’s allocation stay.
Don’t forget about our Halloween party on Saturday 28th October between 18:00-20:00 … it’s going to be spooktacula!!! It’s only £3 a ticket and there are small prizes for the best costumes, so don’t forget to get dressed up!!
Then we have our Christmas Fayre on November 25th, with Tombola, raffles and treats to eat!
