RESPONSIBILITIES
To maintain a high standard relating to the upkeep of the inner and outer buildings by undertaking general repairs, painting and general maintenance duties where required. This includes the garden, hanging baskets, planting of flowers etc.
To be aware of Fire Procedures and Regulations. Checking fire alarms weekly and maintaining appropriate records. Fire drills should be carried out every six months for day staff and every four months for night staff. Whilst completing any drills outside of normal working hours, time must be reduced on the same working day as agreed by the Manager.
Checking and recording of water temperatures weekly, reporting any abnormalities to the Home Manager.
To be aware of Health & Safety, C.O.S.H.H. Regulations and ensure they are carried out at all times.
To assist with the transportation and storage of deliveries and supplies to the home.
To assist with transportation of residents for appointments (only in an emergency)
To drive minibus for residents’ outings when required.
To carry out any additional duties as required by the Home Manager.

Preference will be given to candidates with previous care home maintenance experience
