Job Summary:

To provide an effective standard of cleanliness in order to ensure the comfort and well being of the residents/patients, staff, and visitors within the Home environment. 

Responsibilities

1.            Implementation of a standard of cleanliness that is maintained throughout introduction of a systematic approach that is not intrusive to the daily care,   wellbeing of comfort of patients/residents and other personnel.

2.            To ensure the correct disposal methods are used for all waste emanating from within the home, and that Health and Safety, C.O.S.H.H. Regulations are implemented at all times.

3.            Awareness of fire evacuation procedures are known and implemented as appropriate.

4.            To Achieve the cleaning programmes within the allocated budget and constantly review the process to endure effectiveness/efficiency.

5.            Ensure that any difficulties relating to cleaning, supply of cleaning agents etc., and maintenance of the Home are reported to the Home Manager or Deputy.

6.            All the domestic duties associated with the patient and non-patient areas ensuring cleanliness and tidiness is evident, e.g. shampooing of carpets, cleaning of windows, changing of curtains etc.
