Position Overview:
To prepare and cook daily menu according to guests dietary requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Job duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Developing seasonal menus that are fresh
- Working hand in hand with care assistants so as to develop and coordinate daily as well as weekly menu
- Prepare all household menu
- Coordinates the preparation and cooking of the food
- Maintaining Health & Safety standards
- Makes food purchases
- Effectively stores all food
- Works hand in hand with other staff to ensure that food is served in a timely manner
- Ensure that the kitchen equipment is kept cleans at all times
- Maintain accurate records for food and hygiene quality assurance
- Clean as you go
- Implement stock control and stock rotation
SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS
Cook job skills and specifications to include the following:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent management skills
- A love and passion for food
- Attention to detail
- The ability to work well alone and in a team.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of NVQ11 in catering and food preparation
- 1 year of cooking experience
